Patient Participation Groups (PPGs) consist of groups of patients working with their local practice to offer the patient perspective on the services that are provided, and being involved in decisions made about the health services in the wider Primary Care Trust area.
PPGs also help to improve communication, encourage patients to take more responsibility for their health, provide practical support and help to implement change.
